Marian was born October 28, 1920 in London, England where she grew up sailing and traveling with her father who was a truck driver. At the end of WWII she met and married Paul Emile Bouffard of Quebec, Canada and traveled from Europe on the Queen Mary as a war bride. They moved to the United States during the early 50's and ended in New Orleans where she worked as a legal secretary for Liskow & Lewis Attorneys. Marian was a loving and encouraging mother to her six children. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed traveling, swimming, gardening, and reading. She was a member of Transatlantic Brides and Parents Association which she enjoyed for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Emile Bouffard; her parents, Ida & William Benoist; her sister, Dorothy George and her brother, Peter Benoist. She is survived by her children, Yvette and Linda Bouffard, Ponchatoula, LA; Doreen Bouffard, Mandeville, LA; Joan Pujals, MS; Marc Bouffard, Picayune, MS and Joseph Bouffard, Atlanta, GA.She has five grandchildren, Gary Bouffard, Adam Banks, Christy and Brice Bouffard, and Brain Pujals.Her great-grandchildren are Kaila, Kyle, and Tristan Banks, and Halle and Julia Bouffard. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, July 2 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
