She was 92 and a native of Gonzales. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, with a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Friday. Religious services at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ponchatoula, at 10 a.m. Friday, conducted by a Dominican priest. Interment in Wetmore Cemetery. Survived by her two daughters, Clara M. Louque, Gramercy, and Brenda B. Farrar, Reserve; 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grand- children. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bourque; parents, Traville and Odelle LaBlanc Parent; a daughter, Mary Ann Blank; five sons, Stanley J., Levearn J. and Earl P. She was born on Sunday, May 7, 1944, in Sorrento, the daughter of the late Joseph Albert Trabeau and the late Margie LeBlanc Trabeau. Surviving are her husband, Ronald Louis Bourque Sr.; daughter and spouse, Yvette and Caffrey Jackson; four stepchildren, Trudy and Randy Mire, Trella Bourque, Tammy and Kevin Durbin and Ron and Heidi Bourque Jr.; brother, Bobby Wayne Trabeau and wife Cindy and their son, Justin; sister, Bonnie Faye Hinyup and husband Mike and their daughter, Kristi; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a special aunt, Geneva Halker. "LI'L BUTCH" "Many waters I have sailed throughout the voyage of life, over waters tranquil free of pain and strife. Sometimes tossed in raging storms though never left alone; there was a light that beckoned me toward the shores of home. Always in the distance, this beacon I could see; giving me direction, as I sailed upon life's sea. My journey is completed now, the tide is drifting in. My vessel moves on gentle waves Š Eternity begins." He was a very devoted husband, a very loving and caring father, grandfather and son who loved life to the fullest. Mr. Ronald L. "Li'l Butch" Bourque, a resident Akers, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008. He was 63, born on July 21, 1944, in St. Gabriel, son of Sally S. Bourque and the late Mervin P. Bourque Sr. He retired from Motiva after 35 years of service. He was an airman first class with the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Vietnam War, and was a volunteer firefighter with the Manchac Voluntary Fire Department. Surviving children are Trudy and husband Randy Mire, Trella Bourque, Tammy and husband Kevin Durbin, and Ronald Jr. and wife Heidi Bourque; stepdaughter, Yvette and husband Caffrey Jackson; grandchildren, Brandy Mire, Jadeyn and Quinton Bourque, Kaitlyn and Ainsley Durbin, Alyssa Petite, Alexis and Breahna Bourque, and Shelby and Gracie Jackson; a great-grandchild, Jordan Stegall Bourque; three sisters, Irma Duplesssis, Barbara Daigle and Gerry Kling; two brothers, Mervin Jr. and Thomas Bourque; and a host of nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his loving friends and neighbors for their care and support. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jenoma T. Bourque; father, Mervin P. Bourque Sr.; niece, Gwen K. Carpenter; and his beloved "Lucky."
