BOX, HAZEL HENNINGTON 
Mrs. Hazel Hennington Box, a resident of Springfield, died Wednesday, May
17, 2006, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was 87, born Tuesday,
Aug. 13, 1918, in Beauregard, Miss., the daughter of the late Edgar and
Mary Elizabeth Hennington. Surviving are her daughter, Johnnye Pearl Creek;
daughter and son-in-law, Cherie and Charlie Taylor; son and daughter-
in-law, Philip "Flip" and Debbie Box; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-
grandchildren; and sister, Margarite Granberry. She was preceded in death
by her husband, John Preston Box; an infant daughter; son-in-law, Bruce
Creek; granddaughter, Janelle Box; and 11 brothers and sisters. Friends
will be received on Thursday, May 18, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond. Graveside service at Wesson Cemetery,
Wesson, Miss., at 10 a.m. Friday, May 19, with the Rev. Emile Tasso
officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Springfield First
United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 66, Springfield, LA 70462. E-mail
