She was 87, born Tuesday, Aug. 13, 1918, in Beauregard, Miss., the daughter of the late Edgar and Mary Elizabeth Hennington. Surviving are her daughter, Johnnye Pearl Creek; daughter and son-in-law, Cherie and Charlie Taylor; son and daughter- in-law, Philip "Flip" and Debbie Box; 15 grandchildren, 20 great- grandchildren; and sister, Margarite Granberry. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Preston Box; an infant daughter; son-in-law, Bruce Creek; granddaughter, Janelle Box; and 11 brothers and sisters. Friends will be received on Thursday, May 18, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond. Graveside service at Wesson Cemetery, Wesson, Miss., at 10 a.m. Friday, May 19, with the Rev. Emile Tasso officiating.
