A retired principal of Loranger High School and a resident of Loranger, he died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, at his home. He was 72 and a native of Meridian, Miss. Visiting at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. until religous service at 2 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Mike Hegwood. Interment in Loranger Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Betty Carol Spears Boyette, Loranger; two daughters, Kay Boyette Griffin and Tammy Boyette Lee, both of Loranger; two sons, Steve Boyette, Lake Village, Ark., and Randy Boyette, Loranger; mother, Hettie Stodard Boyette, Meridian; three sisters, Jane Covington, Meridian, Barbara Strahan, Pascagoula, Miss., and Kathrine Rutledge, Gautier, Miss.; two brothers, the Rev. William H. Boyette, Greencastle, Ind., and Jack Boyette, Meridian; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, Jessie Everett Boyette.
