BOYKINS, LONNIE SR. 
Covington - Lonnie Boykins Sr., 63, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at St. Tammany 
Hospital. A native of Fluker, he is survived by his wife, Paulette Boykins; one 
daughter, Shellean Daniels of Covington; three sons, Lonnie Boykins Jr., John 
and Malcolm Boykins, all of Covington; two stepsons, Patrick James of Georgia 
and Edmond James of Anchorage, Alaska; two sisters, Florence Basby of Gardenia, 
Calif., and Francis Sibley of Los Angeles; two brothers, Walter Boykins of New 
Orleans and Ellis Boykins of Gardenia; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest; his mother, Mary; and two 
brothers, Ernest Jr. and Jerry. Visitation will be Wednesday at Angelic Funeral 
Home, Roseland, from noon until 8 p.m. and Thursday at Doughty Chapel, Covington, 
from 4:30 until the funeral at 7 p.m. Dismissal will be Friday at Community 
Baptist Church Cemetery, Fluker.
