She was a native of Oklahoma. Survivors include a son, James Brady, Hammond; daughter, Carol Brady Simmons, Loveland, Colo; six grandchildren; and sister, Billie Price, Tulsa, Okla. Her husband, Walter Brady; and brother, Ernest Lessley, preceded her in death. Joseph A. "Joe" Brady Jr., a retired human resources manager with Shell Pipeline Corp., left this world on June 12, 2008, to be with his Maker. Mr. Brady was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. Brady Sr. and Leontine Gaudet Brady. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Hebert Brady; sister, Audrey Livingston; six children, Kenneth Michael Brady and wife Laura, of Ponchatoula, Charles Keith Brady and wife Andrea, of Los Angeles, Timothy David Brady and wife Carolyn, of Luling, Elizabeth Ann Sebastian, of New Orleans, Brian Patrick Brady, of Norco, and Claire Marie Landry and husband Brian, of Des Allemands; 11 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Born in Norco, he was a graduate of Destrehan High School after which he attended LSU and Tulane University. While at Tulane, he was elected to the honorary fraternity Alpha Sigma Lambda. He liked gardening and watching things grow. Joe loved spending time at his second home on the Amite River, where he enjoyed cooking and boating. He was an active member of the Gonzales Boat Club and the Manchac Boating Association. He worked for 33 years at Shell's Norco Refinery, where he was supervisor of industrial relations. During his tenure there, he served a term as a panel member for the Bureau of National Affairs. After 33 years at Norco, Joe was transferred to Shell Pipeline Corp.'s Gulf Coast Division in New Orleans. He retired as manager of human resources after 38 years of Shell service. Family and friends are invited to visitation at St. Charles Borremeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, on Monday, June 16, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Entombment in the church mausoleum.
