BRAND, LONNIE LEE 
A resident of Baton Rouge, he died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Earl K. Long
Medical Center. He was 47 and a native of Independence. Religious services
at Richardson Funeral Home, Clinton, at 11 a.m. Friday, conducted by Pastor
J.B. Robinson. Interment in Hickory Nut Cemetery. Survived by a daughter,
Taffeny Brand; a son, Lonnie Brand Jr.; six sisters, Mary Nell Hampton,
Cinderella B. Robinson, Rosa Mae Harris, Laureen Brand, Nora Bell Perry and
Samantha Womack; five brothers, Jerome, David, Michael, Jessie James and
W.J. Brand; an aunt, Dixie Danner; three brothers-in-law; and numerous
nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

BRAND, MARY BALLARD 
A resident of Amite, she died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998, at Ochsner Hospital,
Jefferson. She was 81 and a native of Bolivar. Visiting at McKneely Funeral
Home, Amite, 9 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m. Thursday, conducted
by the Rev. Jack Nutter. Interment in Hyde Cemetery, Chesbrough. Survived
by a sister, Laura B. Lea, Wilmer; nieces, including Mary Louise Crawford,
Kentwood, and Virginia Ann Lea, Wilmer; nephews, including Steve Conley
Lea, Kentwood; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in
death by husband, Stanley Gregory Brand.
