BRASHEAR, FLORA HOLDEN MILEY 
A resident of Denham Springs, she died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at
her daughter's residence in Watson. She was 57 and a native of Amite.
Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Wednesday and 8 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Thursday. Religious services at Milldale
Baptist Church, Pride, at 11 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Jimmy
Robertson. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by a daughter and son-in-
law, Glynda Miley and Tank Melcher, Watson; a son, M. Wayne Miley, Denham
Springs; 10 sisters, Mary Sagnibene Theaux, Amite, Leminda DeFrances, Baton
Rouge, Roma Carol Corley, Molly Arnold, Dallas, Cathy Derrey, LaBelle,
Fla., Emily Conley, Alexandria, Brenda Arnone and Linda Smith, both of
Amite, Glenda Cox, Tylertown, Miss., and Sabrina Polichek, Amite; two
brothers, David Hazelwood, Waverly, Tenn., and James Hazelwood, Houston;
two stepsisters, Betty Perkins and Mildred Cobb, both of Baton Rouge; a
stepbrother, Billy Joe Bradham, Amite; three grandchildren, Vance Melcher
and Caleb and Theresa Miley; and a special aunt, friend and buddy, Mallory
Wren. Preceded in death by her first husband, Elvin Miley; second husband,
Emmett Brashear; and parents, Dewitt Holden and Evelyn Loraine Ellis
Hazelwood. She was a member of Milldale Baptist Church, Pride, and a 1961
graduate of Pride High School. Memorial donations may be made to American
