BRATSCHI, JOHN W. 
Mr. John W. Bratschi, 79, of Acworth, Ga., and formerly of Baton Rouge,
passed away on Monday, Aug. 27, 2007. Graveside service will be held at 
11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at Roseland Cemetery in Gloster, Miss., with the
Rev. David Brooks officiating. Mr. Bratschi was formerly a salesman with
State Lumber Co. and Davidson Sash and Door in Baton Rouge. He was also the
owner of John Bratschi World of Sports in Hammond. He was a U.S. Army
veteran of World War II and was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by
his wife, Josephine M. Bratschi; parents, George and Georgia Bratschi; and
sister, Frances B. Sheil. Survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, John
S. and Laura W. Bratschi, Acworth, and Robert W. and Mary C. Stratton,
Liberty, Miss.; daughter, Judith S. Ussing, Smyrna, Ga.; and grandchildren,
Jay and wife Susan Bratschi, Venice, Fla., Emmelyn B. and husband Clarke
Johnson, Valdosta, Ga., Terrell Ussing, Smyrna, Melanie Stratton,
Weaverville, N.C., and Lara Stratton Ullah, and Rob and wife Laura
Stratton, all of Atlanta. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be
made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY
