She was 81 and a native of Head of Island. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, was on Wednesday, Feb. 7, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Whitehall, on Thursday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Rubin Reynolds. Interment in Maurepas Cemetery. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Skip Fontenot, Maurepas; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Andrew and Melba Brenn, Maurepas, Dowell and Dana Brenn, Gonzales, and Maurice W. Brenn, New Orleans; sister, Caroline and husband Sal Bartolotta, Metairie; brother, Gottfried Jr. and wife Mary Balfantz, Willis, Texas; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Dawn and Bubba LeBourgeois, Dwana and Ragan Guarisco, Desiree and Dylan Bourque, Dusti and Daniel Bontra, Jamie and L.J. Rodriguez, Jodi and Lane Borskey, Jason Fontenot, Nicole Brenn, Jessica and Brad Himel, Shelly Domingue, and Milly and Ronnie Bordelon; and 14 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Maurice Brenn Sr.; parents, Gottfried Sr. and Paulina Picou Balfantz; and grandson, Jimmy Brenn. Pallbearers will be Jason Fontenot, Dominick Bartolotta, L.J. Rodriguez, Ronnie Bordelon, Bubba LeBourgeois and Brad Himel. Honorary pallbearers are Lane Borskey, Ragan Guarisco and Daniel Bantaa. She was a past president of American Legion Auxiliary Post 254 and a member of the Altar Society at St. Mary Catholic Church. *************************************************************************
