He was a native of Watson. He is survived by his wife, Irene Brider of Independence; two sons, Alonzo Brider of Kenner and Malcolm Brider of Greensburg; three daughters, Berneita Woodridge of Independence, Melinda Brider of Independence and Carmel Leonard of Hammond; three sisters, Lorraine Scott of Denham Springs, Martha Burrell of Independence, Dorothy Thomas of San Dustry, Ohio; one brother, Gary Brider of Magnolia, Miss., 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Mary Brider, three sisters, one brother and one son. The Rev. Wilbard Jones will conduct the funeral Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion Travelers Missionary Baptist Church, Independence. Burial will be in Durbin Cemetery. Richardson Funeral Home, Amite, is in charge. ***************************************************************************
