She was 76 and a native of Fairdale, Texas. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at Istrouma Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Jim Bain, the Rev. Ron Lambe and Dr. Ferris Jordan. Graveside service in Woodland Cemetery, Kentwood, at 2 p.m. Monday. Survived by a sister and brother-in- law, Carolyn Travis and Aubrey Holmes, Many; a brother and sister-in-law, Barrett and Ruby Travis, Kentwood; and five nieces and nephews, Russ, Steve and Janelle Holmes and Trey and Brad Travis. Preceded in death by her husband, Evans Brien; a brother, Cecil Jackson; parents, Emmitt M. Jackson and Sudie Smith Travis; and first husband, James N. Yarbrough.
