Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. The Rev. Ray Jackson will conduct the funeral Saturday at noon at Rocky Hill AME Church followed by burial at Rocky Hill Cemetery in Greensburg. Survivors include two daughters, Debra Stewart and Margaret (Elder Melvin) Holmes; son, Gerold (Mary) Spears; three sisters, Hester Brister, Rodena Edwards, Irma Jean (C.B.) Johnson; brother, Joe Nathan Spears; and 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son. N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond, in charge. ******************************************************************************** Obituary published in the Hammond Daily Star on: 9/15/2011 BRISCO, MARYLEE ROBERTSON Marylee Brisco, 72, native of Natalbany and resident of Hammond, passed away at the North Oaks Medical Center on Sept. 9th. She was a retired domestic engineer and a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she served as a dedicated and devoted usher for more than 40 years. She is survived by two daughters; Centry Vernon of Hammond and Brenda Barksdale of Summerville, SC and god daughter Shelia Tate of Hammond. She also leaves four sons; Chief Bobby Robinson, Summerville, SC, Curtis Lands, Jr. of Sacramento, CA, Kenneth Lands, Sr. of Amite and Anthony Robertson of Hammond. Her memories will be cherished by her six sisters and brothers; Rosie Lee Killingworth of Hammond, Dr. Vernessa Ducre of Poplarville, MS, Chantay Robertson of Picayune, MS, Woodrow Taylor, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, Stefonce and William Van Robertson of Picayune, MS. She will be remembered with love by 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Brisco, her parents Woodrow Robertson and Sarah Robertson Tillis, her sister Lucille Blount and brother Hollis Burton. Visitation will take place at New Hope Baptist Church in Natalbany on Sept. 16th from 5 until 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday morning at Mt.
