She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late James Carland Barron and the late Helen Gernon. She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and was a retired educator from Holy Ghost Catholic School. She is survived by twin sons, Rickie and Dickie Brocato; daughters-in-law, Fran and Stacie Brocato; two granddaughters, Christy Brocato Couvillion and Megan Brocato; and a grandson, Tommy Brocato, all of Hammond. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Brocato. Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, and Thursday, Feb. 10, from 8 a.m. to 9:40 a.m. at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond. Y.; a sister, Pauline Stitt of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
