She was a native of Hammond; was retired from First Guaranty Bank as a receptionist; was retired as a school bus driver for Tangipahoa Parish Schools' was a longtime member of the Hammond Lions Club and was a member of the Ponchatoula Artisans. Her survivors include one daughter Cheryl Bruhl, Albany; one son and daughter-in-law, Troy G. and Kerry Bruhl, Pumpkin Center; three grandchildren, Kristen Kellie and Ben Bruhl, Pumpkin Center; and one sister, Gladys Ryder, Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy E. Bruhl; brother, Harold Quave; sister, Effie Stewart; and parents, Louis and Easter Bernard Quave. Visitation was at Geisler Funeral Home in Hammond on Tuesday, Sept. 26 from 6 until 9 p.m. and on Wednesday after 8:30 a.m. until the religious service at 10 a.m. Burial followed in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Folsom. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lion's Club Children's Camp, P.O. Box 171, Leesville, LA 71496.
