Born Dec. 27 1915, she was 94 and a native of Kentwood. She grew up in and around Amite in Tangipahoa Parish. Retired for many years, she had been a Baton Rouge school crossing guard and a PBX operator at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Survived by two sons, Tim Brunett and wife Pat, of Central, and Barry Brunett and wife Joan, of Trappe, Md.; two grandchildren, Jennifer Brunett and Elizabeth Brunett, both of Baton Rouge; and daughter- in-law, Sheila Brunett, of Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Sanders and Maude Kemp Sanders; a brother, Lonnie Ray Sanders; and a son, Bryce Brunett. A special thanks to Cardinal Hospice and Liz and Tesha for their invaluable help in the last few weeks. Special thanks also to James and Lavergne McKnight and son "J" who for many years took care of her like she was their own.
