He was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Pumpkin Center. Before graduating from Ponchatoula High, Shane enjoyed being a part of PHS football and basketball teams. Shane always valued his time watching sports on ESPN and was an avid LSU sports fan as well as a Jeff Gordon Nascar fan. Shane worked for many years as a carpenter for and alongside his dad. Above all, his most important force in life was to be a loving, devoted dad and a friend to his five sons. He is survived by his supportive and loving wife, Tina Lamonte Brunies; five sons, Gavyn Taylor McCullough, Caleb Blake Stewart, Dawson Lee Brunies, Brayden Lane Brunies and Ashton Paul Brunies and his caring parents, David and Kelly Adams Brunies. He cherished his surviving brother, Heath Brunies, his sister, Rachel Brunies Woods and her husband David, along with his niece Camryn Woods and nephew Peyton Woods. Surviving maternal grandfather is Rev. Melvin Adams and surviving paternal grandmother is Shirley Brunies. Shane is also survived by his mother-in-law, Pamela Cannon, sister-in-law, Marissa Cannon and brother-in-law, Chastain Cannon. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Nellie Ann Adams; paternal grandfather, Leo "Red" Brunies; step father-in-law, William Blake Cannon and brother- in-law, William Blake Cannon II. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Pumpkin Center on Wednesday, October 15th at 2:00 p.m. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond on Tuesday, October 14th from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service time. Rev.
