BRUSCATO, JOSEPH, III 
Joseph Bruscato III, 60 years old a resident of Ponchatoula and formerly of
St. Bernard, died Monday, April 10, 2006, at his residence. Joseph was born
Thursday, Dec. 6, 1945, in New Orleans. He was a retired captain in the New
Orleans Fire Department having served 25 years. He was also a member of the
antique car club in St. Bernard. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Sylvia
Mackles Bruscato; two sons, Jeffrey Joseph Bruscato and Rodney Paul
Melancon; three daughters, Lisa Ann Ranko, Stephanie Marie Noe and Angela
Marjorie Bruscato; two sisters, Doris Bruscato Blanchard and JoAnn Bruscato
Cardenia; and eight grandchildren, Jessica, Jeffrey, Justin, Monique,
David, Emily, Storm and Shianne. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Joseph Bruscato Jr. and Beatrice Lieber Bruscato. Friends will be received
at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, on Monday, April 17, from 
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Religious services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic
Church in Ponchatoula Monday at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Sand
