Baldini Grimes 20 Apr 2009 Apr 2009 Jerry Nelson Buford, Joseph, Jr 24 Sep 2008 Sep 2008 Jerry Nelson *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Advocate (Baton Rouge): 4/20/2009 BUFORD, DOLORES E. BALDINI GRIMES Dolores was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Baton Rouge and died Monday, April 13, 2009, in Ponchatoula, Dolores is survived by her children, Dona Camacho, (grandchildren Philip Bonnette, Jana Melrose, Debbie Casanova and Danny Camacho), Kathy Stafford, (grandchildren Kimberly Dill and Heidi Harris), and Randy Baldini (grandchild Anthony Baldini). She was the great- grandmother of eight. She is also survived by her brother, Patrick Olivier and family; sister, Carolyn Pecquet and family; brother, Ronald Buford and family; sister, Marilyn Waguespack and family; family of her brother, Ed Wayne Buford, and family of her sister, LaNelle Wingate. Dolores was a tenderhearted woman who at the age of 7 dreamed of being a nurse. Her dream was interrupted soon after entering the Baton Rouge General Nursing program with her marriage to Lloyd Baldini. After her children were in elementary school, she was accepted into the nursing program at Medical College (University) of South Carolina. In 1961, at the age of 33, with a husband and three children, she realized her dream and graduated at the top of her class. She was a compassionate and gifted professional whose career included one on one patient care as well as supervising and administrative positions at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Dixon Memorial Hospital and East Baton Rouge City-Parish. Dolores's children would like to let all of her lifetime friends and loved ones know that we will have a memorial celebration of her life at a future date. Please call Randy Baldini at (985) 386-3903 for updates. Our mother provided us with more than life; she was our teacher, advocate, advisor, cheerleader and best friend. She is no longer shackled to an earthly body that held her captive. Now she is free! *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 9/24/2008 BUFORD, JOSEPH, JR.
