She was 85 and a native of White Castle. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 11 a.m. Saturday until religious services in the chapel at 1 p.m., conducted by a Dominican priest. Interment in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Survived by two sons, Douglas Jordan, Hammond, and Wiley H. Jordan, Ponchatoula; and five grandchildren, Simone Jordan, North Carolina, Deana J. Stanga, Atlanta, Rhundell J. LeBlanc, Baton Rouge, Gina J. Loomis, Little Rock, Ark., and Bryan Jordan, Gonzales. Preceded in death by her husband, Wiley A. Buhler; two brothers, Ervin and Clayton Bergeron; and two sisters, Evelyn B. Bennett and Shirley B. Visitation at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, on Sunday, July 26, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home Monday, July 27, from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by Dr. Brythel Brantly. Burial in Redwood Cemetery. Survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard D. Buhler Sr.; a daughter, Sharon Rouchon and her husband, Tony, of Clinton; four sons and daughters-in-law, Richard D. Jr. and Paula Buhler, Zachary, Ronnie and Florinda Buhler, of Ponchatoula, Darryl and Julie Buhler, of Clinton, and Michael and Deanna Buhler, of Zachary; two brothers, Clyde Turner and his wife, Billie, and Lester Turner and his wife, Lyla, all of Ethel; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Mable Turner; and a brother Conrad Turner. Pallbearers will be Chris Buhler, Daniel Buhler, Jason Buhler, Joshua Buhler, Eric Buhler and Aaron Buhler. She was a Cub Scout den mother and a member of the East Feliciana Parishwide Fire Protection District. Special thanks to Dr. Patten and the staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
