BURCHARD, DOROTHY ANGELA 
A retired restaurant owner and operator and a resident of Covington, she
died Thursday, April 7, 2005, at Forrest Manor Nursing Home. She was 87,
born Saturday, Feb. 2, 1918, in Independence. Visiting at Harry McKneely &
Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 8:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Monday, April
11. Religious service at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Hammond, at 11 a.m.
Monday. Interment in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery. She is survived by a son,
Thomas Burchard Sr. of Mandeville; sister, Jean Nation of Rockford, Ill.;
brother, Tony Genovese of Roscoe, Ill.; two granddaughters, Laura Burchard
Brown and Emily Burchard; and three grandsons, Thomas Burchard Jr., Michael
Burchard and Christopher Burchard. Preceded in death by her husband, Paul
B. Burchard; father, Anthony Genovese; mother, Josephine Bonfanti Genovese;
sisters, Josephine Zaffaro, Dora Miller, Frances Mannino, Ann Marchiafava
and Virginia Heil; and brothers, Phillip, Tony and Charley Bonfanti and
Charley, Maurice, Nick and Vince Genovese.

BURCHARD, PAUL BURDETTE 
Former owner of Tommy's Restaurant and Pizza and a resident of Hammond, he
died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was 80 and
a native of Cortland, Ill. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home,
Hammond, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at Holy
Ghost Catholic Church, Hammond, at 10:45 a.m. Saturday. Entombment in Rose
Memorial Mausoleum. Survived by his wife, Dorothy Genovese Burchard,
Hammond; a son, Thomas Burchard, Mandeville; and five grandchildren, Laura
A. Brown, Orlando, Fla., Thomas Burchard Jr. and Michael Burchard, both of
Hammond, and Christopher Burchard and Emily Burchard, both of Mandeville.
Preceded in death by his sister, Verna Burchard; an infant sister; and
parents, Thomas and Nettie Horan Burchard. He was a member of Holy Ghost
Catholic Church.
