BURLESON, CHARLES F.
Five year old Charles F. Burleson was killed Monday, August 16, crushed by
falling lumber.  He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Burleson.  Funeral
services were held Wednesday, August 18, from Grace Memorial church;
interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond.  He is survived by his
parents - his mother being the former Miss Katie Carter of Hammond; two
sisters, Pat and Penny; two brothers, John and Chris; paternal and maternal
grandparents.

BURLESON, KATHERINE WINSTON CARTER 
Katherine Winston Carter Burleson, 83, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002, at
North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was a native of Scooba, Miss. She
is survived by three daughters, Pat Equivel of Norwalk, Conn., Penny Smith
of Hammond and Jill Harrell of Lakeside, Calif.; two sons, John and Chris
Burleson, both of of Hammond; one sister, Lucile Carter of Franklin, Tenn.;
13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Gordon Leigh Burleson, one son and one sister. Visitation will
be Monday at Grace Memorial Episcopal Church in Hammond from 4 p.m. until a
memorial service at 5. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be
made to the American Cancer Society. Geisler Funeral Home, Hammond, is in
charge.
