BURRIS, CATHERINE SHROPSHIRE 
Amite - Catherine Shropshire Burris, 64, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at
Hood Memorial Hospital, Amite. She was a native of Gloster, Miss. She is
survived by her husband, John L. White of Amite; two daughters, Willena B.
Jackson of Independence, and Linda R. Burris of Amite; two sons, Ricky
Burris Sr. of Hammond, and Jan H. Burris of Amite; one sister, Melva G.
Addison of Amite; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one
daughter, Pearlena Shropshire Brown. The Rev. Thomas L. Robertson will
conduct the funeral Saturday at 1 p.m. at N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond,
and burial will be in Butler's Cemetery, Amite.

BURRIS, ESTENA B. 
Ponchatoula - Estena B. "Aunt Biggie" Burris, 84, died Wednesday, Jan. 16,
2002, at her home. She was a native of Magnolia, Miss., and a homemaker.
She is survived by one brother, Emmanuel Hayes of Ponchatoula. She was
preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Visitation will be today
at Richardson Funeral Home, Hammond, from 5 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Bruce Graves
will conduct the funeral Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Zion Baptist Church,
Ponchatoula. Burial will be in Ponchatoula Cemetery.

BURRIS, HAROLD "DICKIE" JR.
Harold "Dickie" Burris, Jr., 55 years old of Ponchatoula, La , died Monday, 
June 20, 2011, at the Richard Murphy Hospice House.  He was born on October 
1, 1955, in New Orleans. Mr. Burris was employed with the Tangipahoa Parish 
SheriffÕs Office for over 15 years and was an educator in St. John Parish. 
He was an avid fisherman.  Surviving are his wife, Elaine Burris, daughter, 
Megan Burris, mother, Mary Lou Burris Scott, sister and brother-in-law, 
MÕLou and David Thompson. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.  He is 
preceded in death by his father, Harold "Dick" Burris, Sr.  Friends will be 
received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula on Thursday, 
June 23, 2011, from 9:00 AM until funeral services begin at 12 Noon in the 
funeral home chapel.  Contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma

BURRIS, KENNETH WADE
Loranger -- Kenneth Wade Burris, 39, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, in
Uneedus.  He was a construction worker.  Survivors include two sisters,
Yolonda Batieste and Janie Phillips, both of Folsom.  Visitation will be
Monday at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Uneedus, from 5 p.m. until the
Rev. Charlie Chapman conducts the funeral at 7. Dismissal will be Tuesday
at the church at 11 a.m. followed by burial at the church cemetery.
Richardson Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.

BURRIS, PAULETTE GRAY 
Covington - Paulette Gray Burris, 51, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004. She worked 
in the claims department of Allstate Insurance Company. She is survived by her 
husband, Donald L. Burris of Covington; two daughters, Lashonda D. Martini and 
Edmeeka Williams, both of Covington; three sons, Corey and Tyran Driver and 
Marvin Gray, all of Covington; four sisters, Francis Seymore of Ponchatoula, 
Doris Reedes and Dorothy Gray, both of Covington, and Ella Gray of California; 
one brother, James Gray Jr. of Madisonville; and eight grandchildren. Her 
parents preceded her in death. The Rev. Mallory Callahan conducted the funeral 
today. Burial was at White Settlement Cemetery, Covington. Richardson Funeral 
Home, Hammond, was in charge.
