BURROUGHS, BLANCHE THERESA
Blanche Theresa Burroughs died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at her home in Baton 
Rouge. She was 90, born Tuesday, Aug. 22, 1916, in New Orleans. She was a 
loving mother and homemaker. Surviving are her two daughters, Jessica 
Burroughs and Barbara Price; three sons, Thomas Burroughs, Patrick Burroughs 
and Michael Burroughs; a sister, Clarise Fischer Jones; grandchildren, 
Stephanie, Theresa, Deborah, Karen, Robin, Jeremy, Meri, Patricia, Mikey, 
Tracy, Ricky and Rocky; and great-grandchildren, Jess, Jacob, David, Brennan 
and Devin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Willard Burroughs; 
parents, Louise Josephine Picard Fischer and Robert Adam Fischer; sister, 
Sophie Lee; and brother, Roy Fischer. Friends will be received at Harry 
McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula Sunday, Sept. 17, from 6 p.m. to 
9 p.m. and on Monday, Sept. 18, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Religious service 
will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ponchatoula, on Monday, Sept. 
18, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Justin R. Kauchak, O.P., officiating. 
Interment will follow in the Ponchatoula Cemetery, Ponchatoula. E-mail

BURROUGHS, PATRICK C.
Patrick C. Burroughs, 64, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at the Overton Brooks 
VA Medical Center. He was born on Sunday, Sept. 23, 1945, in Baton Rouge, 
son of the late Jess and Blanche Fisher Burroughs. Surviving are his wife, 
Pamela Lambert Burroughs; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Shayne 
Braig, of Houston, and Deborah and Dennis Carraway, of Olla; two daughters, 
Caren Burroughs, of Olla, and Suanne Robertson, of Ponchatoula; son and 
daughter-in-law, Bud and Jennifer Robertson, of Ponchatoula; two brothers, 
Tommy Burroughs, of Denham Springs, and Mike Burroughs, of Walker; and 12 
grandchildren, Patrick and Mindy Shipley, Tiffany and Taya Shevallier, Jamie 
Byas, Dawson Jones, Dannon Poole, Jeremy Hosea, Tyler and Brandon Robertson, 
Emmee and Chance Stroud. Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. 
Thursday, Oct. 22, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. Service 
at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment in Parklawn Memorial
