She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Turner. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Angelic Funeral Home, Roseland. The Rev. Survivors include a son, Wilmer Burton Jr. of Decatur, Ga.; three daughters, Melvileen B. Bellow of Roseland and Gloria and Pamela G. Burton, both of New Orleans; four sisters, Shirley Wilson of Wilmer, Maude Sims and Claudia Dyson, both of Roseland, and Melinda Jackson of Baton Rouge; and three grandchildren. His parents, Ellis and Nettie Burton, and his wife, Lucille Burton, preceded him in death as did a brother, James Brooke Sr., and a sister, Lucille B. Plessy.
