Kenneth Wayne Bush Sr., beloved husband of Debra Wallace Bush for 23 years, father of Kenneth Wayne Bush Jr., age 15, and Katherine Jo Bush, age 12, and brother of "Nipper" Leonard Howard Bush Jr., David Earl Bush and Jennifer Jo Bush, died at Tulane Medical Center, New Orleans, after a lengthy illness. He is also survived by many much-loved nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law, mother- and father-in-law, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Howard Bush Sr. and Betty Jo Gill Bush. A native of Independence, Kenneth grew up in Ponchatoula and was a resident of Kentwood. He worked as a carpenter. He loved God and his family. He enjoyed his garden and cooking for family and friends. We will celebrate his life and his going home to be with his Lord at his funeral Saturday, October 4, 2008, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 310 Avenue E, Kentwood, followed by fellowship, thanksgiving, and a meal at Brother Nipper's home, 45319 Obee Stevens Road, Robert, at noon.
