Ralph was born on January 14, 1941, in New Orleans, son of the late Edward and Lena Mosbey Buttner. He was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam, and a retired Forklift operator for Better Boxing. Surviving are his siblings, Val Buttner, Muriel Maechling, Doris Jolly, Elizabeth Penton, and Violet Sialle; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by four siblings, Thelma Redman, Jerry Buttner, Theresa Sposito, and Edward Buttner Jr. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on Saturday, November 28, 2009 from 10 AM until 1 PM., followed by a 1:15 PM Funeral Home Chapel Service, officiated by Rev, Ramon Gonzalez, O.P. Interment will be in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery, Hammond.
