He was born on March 19, 1927, in Bedico, son of the late Alton and Dallie Lenel Byers. Mr. Byers was a 10 year veteran of the U S Army, having served in World War II. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Whitney and Artice Gill Granger, 3 grand- children, Callie Granger, Carl Wayne Granger, and Michelle Hag, brother, Ivan Byers, brother and sister-in-law, James and Elaine Newman Byers, nephew, Justin Byers, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
