A retired x-ray technician with LSU Infirmary and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 4:22 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Ollie Steele Burden Manor. She was 78 and a native of Amite. Visiting at St. Francis Chapel at Ollie Steele Burden Manor, 4250 Essen Lane, from 11 a.m. until Mass of the Resurrection at noon Tuesday, July 26. Private inurnment at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by her husband, John G. Cado; daughter, Jennifer Cado Richardson; son, Scott Nicholas Cado and wife Brandy; two brothers, P.J. Materiste, and S.L. Materiste and wife Susie; and four grandchildren, Ian Richardson, Lauren Richardson Leeke, Leah Richardson and Elise Cado. Preceded in death by a son, Kevin P.
