Caesh, 90, of Hammond, died at her home last Monday. Her late husband died 18 (19?) years ago. She was the daughter of the late George and Victoria Narretto, and was born November 24, 1860 at the family home near the Tangipahoa River. She married and came as a bride to live in Hammond. She leaves two sons, W. G. and R. W. Caesh of New Orleans; two daughters, Mrs. Felix Masden of Alexandria, and Mrs. W. M. Berry, Sr. of Hammond; two grandsons, Kenneth Masedn of Alexandria and W. M. Barry, Jr. of New Orleans; one granddaughter, Mrs. Lucille Williams of Brownsville, Tex.; two great, grandchildren, Marilyn Frances Masden and Kenneth Martain Masden; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held last Monday at Grace Memorial Church; burial was in the family plot in Grace Memorial Cemetery, with the Thomas Funeral Home in charge. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Vindicator: 7/6/1934 CAESH, HENRY J. p. 5, col. 7: Henry J. Caesh, World War veteran, died at Veteran's hospital in Gulfport, MS on 28 June. Burial Saturday, 30 June, beside the body of his father who died a year and a half ago; Grace Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Caesh volunteered at Jackson Barracks, at New Orleans, in Company D, 28th Engineers and served in France. Born and raised in Hammond, but had not lived here for several years. Survived by mother, Mrs. J. J. Caesh; two sisters, Mrs. Felix Mosden of Alexandria, Mrs. Walter Berry of New Orleans; two brothers, W. G. Caesh of New Orleans, R. W. Caesh; two nephews, Kenneth Mosden of Alexandria and Maurice Berry of New Orleans; one niece, Miss Lucille Mosden of Alexandria. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Vindicator: 2/24/1933 CAESH, JULIUS J. p. 1, col. 3: Julius J. Caesh, 80, died at home in Hammond, Monday. A resident of Hammond for 42 years. A native of Hamburg, Germany; married at age 38; his wife was the former Miss Naretta, a well known Tangipahoa parish family. Funeral Tuesday; interment in Grace Cemetery, Hammond.
