Tony was born Monday, May 15, 1922, in Tickfaw. He retired from the state of Louisiana Highway Department. Surviving are wife, Josephine Ann Bravata Caldorera; son and daughter- in-law, Bernard and Marie Caldorera; son, Charles Caldorera; grandchildren, Mary Moore and Jennifer Caldorera; great-grandchild, Emma Moore. He was preceded in death by parents, Bernardo Caldorera and Paulina Catanese Caldorera; brothers, Joe and Charles Caldorera; sisters, Corinne Giaranto, Mary Guiffreda, Josie Ferrara and Rose Sepilia. Friends will be received Tuesday, August 15 at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church in Tickfaw from 8:30 am until services. She was born on Sunday, Sept. 16, 1923, in Tickfaw, La. daughter of the late Matteo and Serafina Miceli Caruso. Surviving are her daughter, Pauline Caldorera Baiamonte, and husband Pete; daughter, Sarah Marie Caldorera; granddaughter, Maria Baiamonte Purcell, and husband Andrew; grandson, Steven Jude Bruno; two sisters, Josie Caruso Heard and Grace Caruso Slevin. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe P. Caldorera and her seven siblings Fannie Caruso, Angelo Caruso, Mary Caruso Ogima, Mary Dora "Twana" Caruso Trobona, Frances Caruso Mattera, Frank Caruso and Leo Caruso. He was born July 14, 1917, in Tickfaw, and was the son of the late Bernard and Pauline Catanesse Caldorera. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of Blessed Mother Society and a retired equipment operator from the state Department of Transportation and Development. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Catherine Caruso Caldorera; two daughters, Pauline Caldorera Baiamonte of Tickfaw and Sarah Caldorera Jenkins of Ponchatoula; granddaughter, Maria Baiamonte; grandson, Steven Bruno; and brother, Tony Caldorera of Tickfaw. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Rosie Sepelia, Josie Ferreri, Corrine Giaratano and Mary Guiffreda; and a brother, Charles Caldorera.
