He was born in New Orleans, and was a former resident of Metairie. He was a graduate of East Jefferson High School, and was the meat cutter at the Ponchatoula Winn Dixie store. Over his 29 year career with Winn Dixie he received numerous customer satisfaction awards and pens. His favorite pass time was planting fruit trees and gardening. Surviving are his beloved wife, Rachel Farlouis Campagna and his 3 sons, whom he loved spending time in the outdoors with, Matthew, Nicholas, and Justin Campagna; mother Christine Ferrara Campagna; father-in-law, Roger Farlouis and mother-in-law, Catherine DiGiovanni Farlouis; also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. He is preceded in death by his father, Sam J. Campagna; grandparents, Bustiano and Mary Ann Campagna, and Nick and Frances Samona Ferrara. Friends will be received Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Harry McKneely & Son in Hammond from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., and after 8 a.m. on Wednesday til 10:10 a.m. Mass will be held at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Hank Groover, O.P. officiating.Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery.
