He was born on September 11, 1941 in Harvey, son of the late Mike Cangelosi and the late Laura Territo Cangelosi. Surviving are 1 son; 6 brothers, Joseph, Michael, John, Bobby, Frankie and Charles Cangelosi; 2 sisters, Mary Grace and Virginia Cangelosi; step-mother, Mary Cangelosi; 2 half brothers, Michael Pierre and Joseph Cangelosi; 3 half sister, Nancy Smith, Josephine Jones and Carol Gatlin; and special friend, Sandy Macaluso. He is preceded in death by ; 1 son; 3 sisters, Joann Chaisson, Nancy Belsom and Rosemary Perkins. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 9:00 am at the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery. Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Colleen leaves behind her husband, Joseph (Joe) to whom she was married to for 50 years; her three children, Joseph Cangelosi, III (Pamela J. Cangelosi) of Jacksonville, FL., Michael (Mike) Cangelosi (Ginger Bogle Cangelosi) of Hammond, LA, and Camille Cangelosi Nanni (Carlos Nanni) of Port St. Lucie, FL.; six grandchildren, Michael Cangelosi, Nicole Cangelosi, Heather Goldner, Gabrielle Nanni, Alexandra Nanni, and Catherine Cangelosi. Colleen will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved to garden and sew. Orginally from New Orleans, Colleen lived in Hammond for 38 years. Preceded in death by her parents, John C. Fitzgerald and Mary H. Fitzgerald. Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son in Hammond on October 13, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Private interment and graveside service will be at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS on October 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM. The Family will receive vistors on October 14, 2009 between 4 PM and 8 PM at the home of Mike and Ginger Cangelosi located at 50014 Averett Road, Loranger, LA.
