Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, Nov. 21, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Recitation of the rosary on Monday at 6 p.m., conducted the Rev. Jerry Martin. Visitation at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Hammond, on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Entombment in Rose Memorial Mausoleum in Hammond. Survived by her husband, Joseph L. Cangiolosi; daughter, Mary E. Cangiolosi; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph L. and Cindy McCurley Cangiolosi; two brothers, Sam Galaforo of Natalbany and Joseph Galaforo of McComb, Miss.; two grandchildren, Joel Cangiolosi and wife, Kelly, of Gonzales and Charlie Cangiolosi and wife, Apryl, of Little Rock, Ark.; great-grandchild, Camryn Cangiolosi; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Josephine Pecoraro Galafaro; son, Frankie Galaforo; three sisters, Mary Galaforo, Lena Valenti and Sarah Magnacheri; and brother, Mike Galaforo. Pallbearers will be Joel Cangiolosi, Charlie Cangiolosi, Lee Walker, Chris Vicknair, Frank Galaforo and Charles Deshotels. She was a graduate of Independence High School and Southeastern Business School. She was a member of St. Patrick's Altar Society, America Legion Women's Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters, Cavaliers Club and Monday Afternoon Rosary Club. A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of East Hampton, N.Y., he died Monday, June 23, 2008, at the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson. He was 84 and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
