She was born on Tuesday, January 16, 1940, in Robert, Louisiana, daughter of the late Laton and Irene Cooper Smith. Surviving are her husband, Russell Cannino and 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Vicki and Jimmy White, Nina and David Hodges; 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Karen Cannino, Russell and Donna Cannino; 12 grandchildren, Melissa, Scott, Paul, Catherine, Rob, Rachael, Kevin, Heather, Joshua, Dustin, Brandon and Shaynna; 2 great-grandsons, Landon and Collin; 2 sisters, Ruth Threeton, Marie Brooks and her brother, Laton Smith. She is preceded in death by her sister, Robelia Tycer; and 2 brothers, Elmer and Bobby Smith. Friends will be received Monday, April 19, 2010, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 19, 2010, at 11:00 am, with Deacon Wallace Gainey officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond. The family would like to thank Dr. Susan Zacharia and the staff at Hammond Nursing Home for the wonderful care Mrs. Cannino received.
