CAPLES, GWENDOLYN ANGELA
Gwendolyn Angela Caples, 73 years old of Robert, LA, died Sunday, May 10, 
2009, at Canon Hospice - Elmwood.  Gwendolyn was born on July, 24 1935 in 
New Orleans.  Surviving are, Her husband Bobby Jean Caples; daughter, 
Donna Marie Ottavino; daughters & sons-in-law, Shirley M. Cox and John Cox 
and Tina Smith McLemore and Mitch McLemore; son & daughter-in-law, Gregg 
and Elizabeth Smith; brother, Curtis Rome; sisters, Dorothy Traylor and 
Shirley Burbank; 2 step-daughters, Donna Ross and Becky Thompson; step-sons, 
Bobby Jean, Randy, Danny and Ronnie Caples; also survived by 12 grand-
children and 9 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by ; parents, 
Curtis Rome and Henreitta Durselen Rome; son, Christopher Andre Smith; step-
son, Ricky Caples.  Friends will be received Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at the 
Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, from 6:00 P.M. until 
9:00 P.M., and on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until services.  Services will 
be held in the funeral home chapel Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 11:00 A.M..
Interment will follow in the Holly Gardens Cemetery, Hammond, LA 70401.

CAPLES, MARY LENA
A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Uneedus, she passed away
Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at the Guest House. She was 85 and a retired
domestic worker. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home chapel, 825
Government St., on Saturday, June 16, from 10 a.m. until religious service
at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Joseph Armstrong. Interment in Thomas
Chapel Cemetery. She is survived by two sisters, Lubertha White of
Covington and Elmira Kelly and her husband, Jacob Kelly, of Abita Springs;
a brother, Lee Houston Cyprain and his wife, Queen Cyprain; and numerous
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by
her parents, Hayward and Mamie Cyprain; two sisters, Delores Bruno and
Mamie Booker; and five brothers, John, Joseph, Charles, Lawrence and
Hayward Cyprain Jr. Serving as pallbearers will be Bobbie Watson, Charles
Courtney, Lionel Courtney and Chris Jackson. Honorary pallbearers are Lee
Houston Cyprain and Jacob Kelly.

CAPLES, RICHARD
Baptist -- Richard "Ricky" Caples, 46, died, Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004.  A
native of Beaumont, Texas, he is survived by his father, Bobby Jean Caples
of Robert; his mother Gwen Caples of Robert; five brothers, Ronnie and
Randy, both of Baptist, Bobby Jean Caples of North Carolina, Greg Smith of
Robert and Danny Caples of Hammond; five sisters, Becky Thompson of
Hammond, Donna Ross of Lucedale, Miss., Tina McLemore and Shirley Cox, both
of Robert, and Donna Campbell of New York.  Visitation will be Wednesday at
The Way Christian Center, Wardline Road, from 9 a.m. until the Rev. Joe
Puma conducts the funeral at 11.  Burial will be at Gatlin Cemetery,
Baptist.  Geisler Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.
