James Paul Carbo, Sr. passed away at the age of 76, on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at 5:00pm in North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, La. He was a native of New Orleans, La. born on December 12, 1936, and was a resident of Maurepas, La. for the past eight years. He is survived by his longtime mate, Jan Surla of Maurepas. He is also survived by his son, James Paul Carbo, Jr. of Everette, Wash., sister, Mary Carbo Guillotte of Marrero, La., as well as nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a host of other family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Joseph Carbo, mother, Mildred King Carbo, two sisters Fay Carbo and Coral Christine Carbo, as well as two brothers, Walter Carbo and Ronald Carbo. He will be sorely missed by all of those who loved him. Lake Charles - Joseph H. Carbo, 71, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003. A native of Donaldsonville, he is survived by four sisters, Marie Ann Carbo LeBlanc, Helen Short, Nena Hebert and Priscilla Newman; and two brothers, Albert and Buck Babin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris Carbo and Nellie Morris; one brother, Boogie Morris; and one sister, Dianne Robinson. The funeral was Saturday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan. Entombment was in the church cemetery. H.C.
