She is survived by her husband, William Denis Carr of Hammond; her mother, Evelyn Brady of Norco; and her children, Aaron, Casey and Kelly, all of Hammond; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Carr of Lafayette; and three brothers, Gary Hymel of LaPlace, Dale Hymel of Norco and Dennis Hymel of Reserve; two sisters, Nancy Navaille and Mary Rohen, both of LaPlace; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Urbin Hymel; and her stepfather, Oscar Brady. Visitation will be Thursday at Sacred Heart Church, Norco, from noon until Mass at 2 p.m. Entombment will be at St. Barromeo Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. H.C. Cynthia departed this life on November 8, 2009 at Lallie Kemp General Hospital. Cynthia accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. T.T. Robinson. Cynthia continued to worship at the Mt. Bethel B.C. under the leadership of Rev. Andrew Jackson where she sung in the choir until her death. Cynthia never had children of her own; therefore, she took on the role of mother and raised her nephew Brandon as her own after the death of her brother. Cynthia leaves to cherish her memories, her parents, Illinois and Lillie Jones of Woodhaven, LA; A special son & nephew, Brandon Taylor, A Special Friend, Lonnie Adams, four sisters, Rosie Jones, Lucille Jones, Geraldine (Morris) Turner and Mary Johnson; one brother, Illinois Jones, Jr.; one aunt, Elizabeth Jones, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
