CARTOZZO, JIMMY
Mr. Jimmy Cartozzo, 84 years old of LaPlace, died on Sunday, October 4, 
2009 at his home. He was born on September 12, 1925, in Independence, son 
of the late Anthony and Jennie Cartozzo.  Surviving are his wife, Elaine 
Cartozzo, and sons and daughters-in-law, Jerald and Carol Persinger; 
Dwayne and Judy Persinger; Gene and Barbara Persinger; daughter and son-
in-law, Chezell and Wayne King, daughters; Linda Baily and Jayme Scallon; 
16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; his sister Rose and numerous 
nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his brothers Peter, Henry, 
Sam and Joe Cartozzo.  Friends will be received Wednesday, October 7, 2009, 
from 8:30 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 10:00 a.m. at Harry 
McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond.  Interment will follow in the 
Colonial Mausoleum in Independence.  In lieu of flowers donations may be 
made to Hospice Compassis in Metairie, LA.  An on-line guest book is
