Angelo was born Saturday, February 8, 1913, in Tickfaw. He was a retired farmer and owner of Caruso grocery Store in New Orleans. He was also a medic in the Army earning an EAME Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Service Stars, a Good Conduct Medal and a Bronze Star Medal. Surviving are wife, Fannie Lamonte Caruso; daughter, Lorraine Gail Caruso; five grandchildren, Liane Moody Abraham, Jennifer Moody Manning, Jeffrey Moody, Allison Moody Signorelli, and Joshua Moody; brothers, Frank and Leo Caruso; three sisters, Katie Caldorea, Grace Slevin and Josie Heard; seven great-grandchildren, Sarah Abraham, Gabrielle Abraham, Jason Manning Jr., Jonathon Manning, Luke Abraham, Mia Signorelli and Emily Manning. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew Caruso and Michele Serafina Caruso; daughter, Sarah Jeanette Caruso Moody; sisters, Twana Trabona, Mary Ogima and Frances Mattera.
