Mr. Ross Blake Cashion Jr., 87 years old of Loranger, Louisiana, died Monday, November 19, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was born on Friday, May 21, 1920, in Waco, Texas, son of the late Ross Blake Cashion, Sr., and Clyde Virginia Jones Cashion. He served in the military as a Meteorologist during World War II. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Mathematics and later obtained a Civil Engineering Degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He spent most of his professional engineering career working for highway and bridge construction firms in the New Orleans area. Due to his love for engineering and surveying, he never fully retired and at the time of his death, was employed part-time by McLin & Associates in Livingston, LA. He also did many surveying jobs for individuals in the Hammond area. Surviving are his beloved wife of 39 years, Lottie Goodyear Cashion; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Jennifer and Mike McBride, and Marilyn and David Matthews; step sons, Donald and Jamie, Morrison; step sons and step daughters-in-law, Greg and Mary Ann Morrison and Jeff and Micha Morrison; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Genalou and Joe McMurrey. Friends will be received Friday, November 23, 2007, at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, from 9 a.m. until services. Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, at 11:00 a.m., with Deacon Wallace Gainey officiating. Cashion. She is survived by her sons, Donald and Jamie Morrison, son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Mary Ann Morrison, and son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Micha Linn Morrison, 11 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, April 16, 2009 from 9 a.m. until the Funeral Home Chapel Service at 11:30 a.m., conducted by Rev. Deacon Wallace Gainey. Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Park Mausoleum, Hammond.
