CASSIDY, JAMES BURKE, JR.
A resident of Madisonville, he died on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at his home. 
He was born March 3, 1958, in New Orleans and was 54 years of age.  He is 
survived by A special friend, Sharon Fraiche, Madisonville; mother, Janice 
Cassidy, Independence; 2 sons, James Burke Cassidy, III, Springfield and 
Colin Anthony Cassidy, Covington; sister, Melissa C. Mixon, Independence; 
brother, Timothy M. Cassidy, Sr., Independence; grandson, James Burke 
Cassidy, IV; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, 
James Burke Cassidy, Sr.; sister, Cassandra Clark. In lieu of flowers, 
memorial donations may be made to the family for ColinŐs Trust.
Visitation will be at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Independence, from 
11 a.m. until memorial service at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012. Services 
conducted by Fr. Howard Adkins.  McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, in charge of

CASSIDY, LUCY 
Lucy Cassidy, 79, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at Belle Maison Nursing Home.
She was a native of Pickering. She is survived by one daughter, Judy Ridgel
of Natalbany; one son, John Scroggins of New Orleans; two sisters, Wanda
Walker and Pat Ebarb, both of Shreveport; three grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E.
Cassidy; her parents, four sisters, three brothers and a grandchild. The
funeral was today at Geisler Funeral Home, Hammond. Burial was in Mt.
Stevens Cemetery, Tickfaw.
