Edward E. Caswell, 63, died Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at Landmark Nursing Home after living 52 years with diabetes and 11 years with Alzheimer's disease. He was a native of New York and a resident of Hammond. He is survived by his wife, Jean Caswell of Hammond and his family in New York: mother, Frances Fellner; sisters, Caroline Fitzgerald and Barbara Caswell; aunts, Caroline Edwards, Mary and Martha Film; uncle, Teddy Film. He was preceded in death by his father, Mitchell Caswell and his brother, Raymond Caswell. Ed was a former industrial engineer and elementary school teacher. He was active in the United Methodist Church, the Mission Church and the Kairos Prison Ministry. Friends will be received Monday, February 26 at the Mission Church in Hammond beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the memorial service scheduled for 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1201 North Beauregard, Alexandria, VA 22311 or to the Mission Church, 1006 North Oak Street, Hammond, LA 70401.
