He was no ordinary boy and he lived no ordinary life. Anyone who really knew him knew his extraordinary, loving heart. He was generous and kind and he loved more purely and more deeply than we can comprehend. He touched all of the people he came in contact with in the most amazing way. His friends ranged in age from 2-years-old to 90 and came from many walks of life. They were his fellow students, members of the KC's, family members, nurses, doctors, teachers and anyone else who had the privilege of encountering him during the 17 years he was among us. Once Timothy knew you, he loved you and held you in his heart forever. We have been truly blessed for having known you, Timothy. You were a gift to our world. Timothy was a student at St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School. He loved the students, administrators, faculty and staff. He was very proud to be a Falcon. During his freshman year, before his health began to fail, he belonged to both the Cross Country and Track Team. This remained some of his fondest memories. He was also proud to be a member of the Campus Ministry Team at STA. Timothy was a graduate of Mater Dolorosa Catholic School, a member of the Mater Dolorosa/St. Dominic Youth Group, an altar server at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church for 7 years, and a junior volunteer at North Oaks Medical Center. He left behind many people whom he loved dearly. Among them are his parents, Anthony and Lynn Catalano, his sister, Amanda Catalano, and his paternal grandparents, John and Frances Catalano, along with aunts, uncles, and cousins who will feel his loss. He was greeted by his maternal grandparents, Leroy and Louise Dickinson and many, many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will now have the privilege of knowing and being known by this extraordinary young man. Friends will be received Thursday, May 10, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, May 11, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Harry McKneely & Son in Hammond.
