CATHEY, ANNIE RUTH 
Dodson - Annie Ruth Cathey, 74, the mother of James E. Cathey Jr. of
Hammond, died Friday, June 8, 2001, in her home in Dodson following a
lengthy illness. Born in Center, Texas, she was a native of Winn Parish and
was a homemaker and member of Dodson First Baptist Church. Survivors also
include two daughters, Jane LaFollett and Jo Ann Martin, both of Winnfield;
a sister, Vivien Taylor of Center; six grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren. Her husband, James E. Cathey, preceded her in death.
Visitation was Saturday at Southern Funeral Home Chapel, Winnfield, and
will continue today from 10 a.m. until the funeral at 1 p.m. The Rev.
Calvin Phelps and the Rev. Roy Humphrey will conduct the service, and
burial will be at Harmony Grove Cemetery near Winnfield.
