He is survived by two daughters, Kayren Beattie of Baton Rouge and Catherine Chaney of Denham Springs; two sons, Charles E. David graduated in 1971 from Sam Barth High School in Metairie, LA. and earned an undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1984. He practiced law from 1960 until retirement in 2003, was a Louisiana state representative from 1964 to 1968, retired former 21st Judicial District judge, having served from 1970 to 1987, and was presiding judge over the Livingston train derailment case which lasted for five years.
