THOMAS C. Thomas Cefalu, 67, well known strawberry broker for 45 years, died at his Amite home last Friday. Services were at St. Helena Catholic church with burial in Amite City cemetery. She was born Thursday, January 18, 1923 in Monroe, Louisiana, daughter of the late Thomas and Melinda Dunn Holder. Surviving are her 3 sons, Peter Cefalu Jr., Steven Cefalu, Vincent Cefalu; 2 daughters, Sharon Bonstaff, Eileen Leichtenberg;12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Joseph Cefalu, and her sister, Dorothy Authement. She was also a member and former chairman of the board of First Guaranty Bank Board of Directors, and member and former president of Amite Chamber of Commerce.
