He was 20 and a native of Charlotte, N.C. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Visitation at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Albany, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Joe Dunn, the Rev. Alton Foster and the Rev. Terry Edwards. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by his mother, Cathy Chancey Westmoreland; and three brothers, James Edward "Jed" Chancey Jr., Joshua Leonard Chancey, and his twin brother, Jared William Chancey, all of Albany; grandmothers, Vesta Shotts Chancey, New Orleans, and Thelma Mahner Brondum, Albany; and a niece. Preceded in death by his father, James Edward Chancey Sr.; and grandfathers, William Walter Chancey and Leonard Crawford Brondum Sr. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
