Cook formerly of LaPlace and her mother Gladys Cook, who lived in Paron, Arkansas. Phyllis is survived by two children Michael Jones and Michele Jones White of Austin, Texas. Phyllis's sister, Kay Keefer, is from Pontchatoula, and her brother, Bill Cook is from LaPlace. Phyllis had two grandchildren whom she loved dearly; both D.J. and Gregory live in Austin, Texas. Her niece and nephews Paula Kay Rome, Buddy Williams, and Billy Cook, and a host of great nieces and nephews will sadly miss her. Phyllis was employed by Texaco Oil Company for 35 years in the accounting department both in New Orleans and Houston. Phyllis wanted people to be able to learn from her experience and thus, willed her body to the LSU medical center.
