A retired baker and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 88 and a native of New Roads, where he had resided for the past 1” years. Visiting at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Roads on Thursday, Jan. 22, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Bob Stine. Interment in False River Memorial Park. Survived by three daughters, Bobbie Jarreau, of Ventress, Mildred Castjohn, of Pumpkin Center, and Cathy Guerin, of Ventress; two sons, Joseph Chenevert, of Lottie, and Jason Chenevert, of New Roads; a sister, Gertie McMurray, of Slidell; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Chenevert; daughter, Loretta Olinde; and parents, Clair Sr. and Clea Jarreau Chenevert. Pallbearers will be Larry Guerin Jr., Dale Guerin, Michael Jarreau, Larry Guerin Sr., Joseph and Jason Chenevert.
